| In 2007, Marcus Brothers became Marcus Fabrics, a change that reflects our updated look and a renewed commitment to this exciting and diverse creative industry. Over the years, we've built a Tradition of Innovation, focusing on time-honored reproduction fabrics and museum-inspired collections, as well as more contemporary designs. This year we also celebrated Judie Rothermel's 20th year in the quilting industry! Since her first Centennial fabric collection in 1987, the quilt collector, historian and designer has developed a solid reputation for her knowledge and unique interpretation of reproduction fabrics and quilts. Judie's Aunt Grace 1930's reproduction fabric prints are the original, and still the most popular and most saleable brand among quilters worldwide. While Faye Burgos produced Marcus' first Americana-style collection with classic AMERICAN PLAINS, we advanced Marcus' more contemporary side with trendier looks such as METRO BLUE. New introductions during the year also included the timely introduction of our eco-friendly fabrics, ECOSSENTIALS and OASIS CANVAS. Your purchase of these beautiful and ecologically-sound fabrics supports worthy environmental causes, confirming again that Marcus continually strives to be a responsible and conscientious corporate citizen. In addition, we've maintained our commitment to the history of quilting, through collaborations with Old Sturbridge Village and the New England Quilt Museum. We also proudly presented a variety of looks by our licensed designers like Edelen Wille, QuiltSoup and most recently, Prints Charming and Pat Yamin. Another first for the year was the debut of our own blog, yet another way to share creative ideas, news and quick features with our quilting & sewing friends. Even behind the scenes we continue to make improvements and adjustments, to do what we do even better, from design and manufacturing to distribution and marketing, now, and into the coming years!
