Sewing

  1. Paradox Star Blocks: Refer to the block diagram and piece a block together. Make 3 blocks with fabric H and fabric K triangles and 3 blocks with fabric G and fabric J triangles.
  2. Puss in the Corner Blocks: Refer to the diagram and make 2 full blocks for quilt center, 6 half blocks for quilt sides and 4 quarter blocks for quilt corners.
  3. Sew the quilt together in diagonal rows. Refer to the photo for color placement of the blocks and side and corner setting triangles.
  4. Sew fabric M borders to the sides of the quilt top, then to the top and bottom. Sew fabric N borders in the same sequence.
  5. Sew the fabric B borders to the sides of the quilt top. Sew a fabric M narrow strip to opposite sides of the 4 fabric D squares, then the longer strips to the top and bottom. Sew these blocks to each end of the horizontal fabric B borders, then sew the borders to the top and bottom of the quilt.

Finishing

  1. Layer the quilt top, batting and backing. Baste, then quilt the layers together.
  2. Fold the fabric L binding strip lengthwise with right sides together and press fold line. Match raw edges of binding to raw edges of quilt top and sew in place. Turn binding to back of quilt and stitch in place.
